What this is
Lalita Tripura Sundari is the supreme goddess of the Sri Vidya tradition — the "Beautiful One of the Three Cities" (waking, dreaming, deep sleep). She is beauty itself, sovereignty itself, the primordial feminine consciousness from which all manifestation arises.
The Lalita Sahasranama is her thousand-fold self-revelation, drawn from the Brahmanda Purana. Each name is a doorway. To recite the Sahasranama without transmission is to knock at a thousand doors that will not open. To recite it after Deeksha is to be walked through them, one by one, by the goddess herself.
