What this is
Kaal Bhairava is the fierce protective form of Shiva — not fierce in cruelty, but fierce in guardianship. He is called Kaal because he governs kaal — time itself, including the difficult periods that visit every human life. When these periods arrive, through planetary transits, karmic ripening, or the natural cycles of life, Kaal Bhairava is the presence invoked to walk through them untouched.
The Ashtakam is the eight-verse hymn composed by Adi Shankaracharya himself, containing the seed of Bhairava's protective consciousness. Receiving this Deeksha activates that seed within you.
